It is now the thing of legends, the TV appearance which ignited the feud between Chris and Mark Lamarr and pretty much saw the end of Chris' TV career before it had even begun.
In what was their first look at Chris for many people, he appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks on 11th September 1998 not long after he had started at Radio One. Looking nervous and often awkward he never seemed to warm to the format of the show and became the source of many of Lamarrs jokes.
Lamarr later said of the appearance "He's just someone who came on the show, didn't enjoy himself and tried to take it out on the rest of us. I soon put a stop to that...". |
